Rulebook
Every feature, every rule, every cut
Global Trading Sports League is a sports league for traders. You trade in your own broker account, we verify the numbers, and you compete on percentage — not on how big your bankroll is. This page explains how every part of it works. The binding legal version lives in the Terms of Service.
The three roles
Every account picks a lane, and you can switch lanes any time from your Locker with the role switch.
Player
Trades their own account, competes solo as a free agent or on a team roster, and can be drafted, traded or released. Free agents keep access to the free agent lounge until they sign with a team.
Coach
Runs a team: designs the jersey and crest, writes the playbook, recruits from the free agent pool, approves trades and releases players. Coaching requires at least a one-year verified trade history. A coach's own trades never count toward the team's stats.
Agent
Represents players and teams and stakes Trading Coins on them. Agents do not enter tournaments themselves and cannot be backed by other agents.
Getting started
The order never changes: Combine questionnaire → identity check (KYC) → GTSL Pass → build your profile.
Combine
A short questionnaire places you as Rookie, Amateur or Pro. Complete beginners are pointed at the Academy — lessons and quizzes covering what crypto is, how to trade it and how to open a broker account.
Pass
$9.99 per month after a 3-day free trial. No card is needed to start the trial, but you must add a payment method — card, PayPal, Apple Pay or crypto — to keep going after it. There is no free spectator tier — every member is a player, coach or agent, and an active pass is required to use the platform.
Brokers
Connect one or more live, funded accounts. Keys are encrypted and read-only where the exchange supports it. Demo and paper accounts are not eligible to compete. Stats from every connected broker are aggregated into one line.
Stats, privacy and rating
Only you ever see your dollar profit and loss and your balance. Everyone else sees profit percentage, win rate, trade count and your overall rating.
Overall rating
Win rate, profit percentage and total trades combined into one number, so a high win rate on three trades never outranks a proven grinder.
Levels
Rookie → Amateur → Pro, earned through wins. The top-ranked free agents wear 1st, 2nd and 3rd round draft pendants on their cards.
Tournaments
The system runs the calendar — nobody creates their own competitions, and there is always a seat. Winner is whoever posts the highest verified profit percentage over the window. Winner takes the pot.
Window-only scoring
Your score is built from a snapshot taken the moment the tournament clock starts. Only broker results between that start and the tournament's end count — anything traded before the start or after the buzzer is ignored, and every account you connect is included. The highest in-window profit percentage wins; nothing else breaks the tie.
Tournament stat line
Every comp's live board and final results also show your in-window win rate and trade count, starting fresh at zero each tournament. They're for bragging rights and context only — profit percentage is the sole stat that decides the winner.
Day trade
Runs every day and settles at 5:00pm ET. Buy-ins of 1 or 10 TC. Minimum 2 entries.
Swing
A new one every 7 days, all starting at the same time. Buy-ins of 1 or 10 TC.
High stakes
Capped at 100 seats, 500 or 1000 TC buy-in, for players who want the deep end.
Major League
Teams only, monthly, 100 TC per entry, minimum 10 teams to start. Runs a bracket into playoffs and a championship. Team competitions require equal player counts on both sides.
Free agents
Free agent competitions are unlimited and open to any unsigned player, up to 100 players each.
Sponsored entries
Teammates can pay a teammate's buy-in, and coaches can sponsor an entry for a player on their roster.
Teammate vs teammate
Teammates can enter the same competition and compete head-to-head in every format — day, swing and high stakes. The only exception is the Major League, which is scored as a team, so squadmates always play on the same side there.
Trading Coins and fees
1 TC = $1. Coins buy tournament entries and can be converted back to crypto on withdrawal.
Deposit & withdraw
One wallet page, $1 minimum either way. Withdrawals are reviewed before they are sent.
Send
Any member can send coins to any other member for any reason, straight from the wallet.
Platform fee
Global Trading Sports League keeps 3% of every buy-in. Everything else goes into the prize pot.
Every pay cut, in order
When a competition settles, the pot is split in this exact order, automatically:
- Platform 3% of each buy-in is taken off the top.
- Agent commission — if the winner has a signed agent contract, the agreed percentage of the prize goes to that agent.
- Coach 10% of the prize, whenever a rostered player or the team wins. The coach's cut is unchanged by any agent stake.
- Agent stakes are settled next — see below.
- The winner takes what remains. For a team win, the remainder is divided evenly among rostered players.
Nobody pays anybody by hand. Every cut above is paid by the platform at settlement and shows up in your coin history.
Agents and stakes
An agent puts real coins behind a player or a team. They only ever split the money they actually staked — never the whole win.
The formula
A stake claims the same share of the profit as it covered of the entry fee, and that slice is split 50/50 with the trader. The agent also gets their stake back.
Worked example
Buy-in is 10 TC and the agent stakes 1 TC. That stake covered 10% of the entry, so 10% of the actual profit is the stake's slice — and the player and agent split that 10% evenly, 5% each. The agent's 1 TC comes back on top.
On a team
A stake on a player splits only that player's cut of the team winnings — never the whole team purse.
Working with a coach
If the agent stakes the team itself, the split is taken from the entire team winnings on the same 50/50-of-the-stake-slice basis. The coach's 10% is untouched either way.
Offers and contracts
Agents send stake offers from the roster, from the agent desk or from a player's profile, and can aim a stake at one specific competition or leave it open. Players and coaches can request an agent from the agent cards. Offers hold the agent's coins until accepted, declined or withdrawn, and either side can end a contract.
Teams, trades and releases
Signing
Coaches send a signing request; the player must accept. Players can also request to join a team from the roster board.
Trades
A trade needs three yeses: both coaches and the player.
Release
A coach can send a player back to the free agent pool at any time — no player approval needed. Players may also leave a team on their own and return to free agency.
Team profile
Jersey, crest, playbook with image references, the coach card, the team's agent card and a swipeable deck of player cards.
Chat, DMs and conduct
Team walls are for that team, the free agent lounge is for unsigned players, tournament walls are for entrants, and DMs are open to anyone. Messages can be translated in place into your language.
Blocking
You can block any member; blocked members cannot DM you. Harassment, scams, impersonation and bot accounts are removed.
Rings, pendants and champions
Championship rings
Major League winners earn a numbered diamond X ring. Rings belong to the person — the winning players, their head coach and their agent each keep theirs, and it travels with them to any team.
Champions banner
The reigning champions sit at the top of the home page for the season.
Season champion
A season is 12 months of Major League tournaments, running July 1st through June 30th. The season champion is decided on Major titles won in that window, with highest overall profit percentage as the tiebreaker, and earns the right to claim one player from any team and release one player, once per season.
Season trophy
The season champions lift the championship trophy. Every player, the head coach and any active agent on that roster keeps a personal trophy in their case for life — it travels with them to any team or role, just like a ring.
Referrals
Every member has a unique referral code. For every 10 people who join with your code, finish the free trial and pay their first subscription, you earn one free month. Claim it from your profile.
Responsibilities
Everyone
One real account per person, real live funded broker connections only, accurate KYC, own your own taxes, and keep your credentials secret. Multi-accounting, copied accounts, faked results or market manipulation to win a contest means removal and forfeited coins.
Players
Enter competitions in good faith, trade your own account, and answer trade and signing requests instead of leaving teammates hanging.
Coaches
Keep a one-year verified history, maintain the playbook, treat your roster fairly on trades, releases and sponsorships, and remember your trades never pad team stats.
Agents
Only stake coins you can afford to lose. A stake is a bet on someone else's skill — there is no guaranteed return, and losing competitions return nothing.
